Alana– Manager and Tourguide

My tour guiding journey for the Penneshaw Penguin Centre began in November 2018,  when I ran the occasional tour for the previous owner and manager Nick. Fast forward to March 2019 which was when the business exchanged hands to me. 

I have loved putting my own spin on the business such as adding supper to the tour (guests have quite enjoyed this aswell!). My teaching degree and teaching experience continuously shapes the management of tours.

I love meeting people from all around the world, hearing about their travel experiences and giving suggestions of activities to do on the island. I enjoy educating people about the life of the little penguin on Kangaroo Island, and the adventure of searching for wildlife with our special wild life friendly torches. I have a big heart for the little penguins and I am hopeful that their numbers will increase in the area.
